Age: from 3 years

The pink tower and base are made from beechwood. A highly resistant wood.

It consists of a series of 10 cubes. They vary in 3 dimensions , from 1cm to 10cm.

DESCRIPTION

These proportions are only sensorially accessible to the 3-year-old, but these exact dimensions already prepare him for mathematics.

By the time he's interested in arithmetic and geometry, he'll already have been confronted with the science of numbers, at least sensorially.

He can then take it back to study the physical proportions subtly hidden in this pretty pink tower!

Visual Distinction Action

Develop finger and wrist motor skills.

Prepare for mathematics with the question "What's next?".

Introduction to geometric logic with 2-D object representation

Your role is to start by taking great care of the cube you're carrying. Place it gently and randomly on the base(every move will be copied by your child, so take your time!).

Your child will surely help you in this step, so let him do it and above all have fun!

Then ask him to watch your movements and build the tower, then gently undo it.

Ask him to do the same.

We invite you to perform these gestures gently in front of your child, without speaking, so that he or she has time to absorb all the steps.

Finally, as with any activity, the child is invited to put the equipment away himself (after you've done it the first time at the end of this presentation).

Then, don't limit yourself to a single tower model. Instead, invent, imagine new shapes and test new balances.

Céline Dragignan -

"As a mother practicing Family Instruction, Montessori Pedagogy has always attracted me but I didn't know what to start with: with Montessori Family, we know exactly which product is right for our child and when to introduce it: everything is very well explained and the games are just sublime".

Mathilde Compagnon -

"Since our daughter's attention deficit disorder was diagnosed, my husband and I have been trying to find the most suitable materials, in order to give ourselves the best possible chance: we recently came across the Montessori Family website and it's been a huge time-saver: we can find everything we need, and we highly recommend it to parents with children with special needs".
